To buy coffee online in Egypt, order on the Coffee & Cream website or app and pick the capsules, beans, ground or instant coffee that fit how you brew. Orders reach Cairo and Giza in 1 to 2 business days and other governorates in 2 to 4 business days. You can pay cash on delivery or by card.

What to buy for your setup

Start with the machine or brew method you already use. The product title shows the system, the pack size and, where it applies, the roast or intensity.

Capsules, by machine system

Coffee & Cream sells capsules for more than one system. The two you will see most are Nespresso Original and Nescafé Dolce Gusto. Most boxes of Nespresso's own Original capsules hold 10, and Nescafé Dolce Gusto boxes hold 16. Other brands vary, so check the count in the title. Vertuo capsules are not stocked.

  • Nespresso Original, made by Nespresso: Arpeggio (intensity 9), Ristretto Italiano (10), Roma (8) and Venezia (8).
  • Compatible with Nespresso Original: Capsules from Illy and Lavazza, such as Illy Intenso Espresso, Illy Classico Espresso and Lavazza Qualità Rossa. Illy and Lavazza make them to fit Original machines.
  • Nescafé Dolce Gusto: Cappuccino, Flat White and Café au Lait. Some Dolce Gusto milk drinks use two capsules per cup, one milk and one coffee, so a box of 16 makes 8 of those drinks. The box shows how many capsules each drink takes.

If you are choosing a system, read Nespresso vs Dolce Gusto and the capsule compatibility guide. Then browse Nespresso capsules or Dolce Gusto pods. The Nespresso capsule types guide explains intensity and cup size on Original.

Beans or ground, by brew method

Whole beans stay fresher until you grind them. Buy ground coffee when you do not have a grinder, and match the grind to the brewer. The brew method guide and the bean finder walk through that choice. For arabica versus robusta, see arabica vs robusta.

  • Espresso machine: A fine grind. Buy espresso ground coffee, or whole beans you grind just before brewing. Best-selling beans for espresso include Lavazza Super Crema (1 kg), Lavazza Espresso Crema e Aroma (1 kg), Lavazza Qualità Rossa (1 kg), Lavazza Qualità Oro (1 kg), Illy Classico (250 g) and Illy Intenso (250 g).
  • Moka pot: A medium-fine grind, between espresso and filter, from ground coffee for moka.
  • Filter, drip or V60: A medium grind, a touch finer for V60, from American filter ground coffee, or whole beans you grind yourself from whole coffee beans.
  • Turkish coffee: A powder-fine grind from Turkish ground coffee.

Bold Brews Breakfast Blend, Bold Brews Brazil (100% Arabica) and Bold Brews Signature Blend (100% Arabica) are also best-selling whole beans, all in 250 g bags.

Instant coffee

Instant coffee comes in jars or sachets. You stir the powder into hot water or milk, with no machine and no grinder. Browse instant coffee when you want a quick cup at the office or while travelling.

How to read a product page

The title has the facts you need before you add anything to the basket.

  • System and compatibility. Every capsule made by Nespresso on Coffee & Cream is for the Original system, since Vertuo is not stocked. When the title puts “Compatible” next to Nespresso, as in “Nespresso Compatible” or “Compatible by Nespresso”, another roaster made the capsule to fit an Original machine. “Dolce Gusto” in the title means the capsule fits a Dolce Gusto machine. Nespresso Original and Dolce Gusto capsules do not fit each other’s machines.
  • Pack size. The title gives the capsule count per box or the weight of the bag, such as 10 or 16 capsules, or 250 g or 1 kg of beans. A 250 g bag is easier to finish while it is still fresh. A 1 kg bag suits a house that drinks espresso every day.
  • Roast. Some titles name the roast, such as Illy Classic Roast and Illy Intenso Bold Roast. Bold Brews Brazil and Bold Brews Signature Blend say 100% Arabica in the title.
  • Intensity. The number in a Nespresso Original title, such as Intensity 9 on Arpeggio, tracks roast and body. A higher number is a darker roast and a heavier cup. It does not measure caffeine.

Delivery and payment

Orders reach Cairo and Giza in 1 to 2 business days and other governorates in 2 to 4 business days. You can pay cash on delivery or by card. Delivery fees are listed in the shipping policy. Pre-orders may need 1 to 2 extra business days to prepare, as the policy says.

Choose your governorate at checkout. With cash on delivery, you pay the courier when the order arrives.

Storing coffee when it arrives

Open one bag or one box at a time. Keep beans in the sealed bag, in a cupboard away from the kettle, the oven and direct sun. Do not refrigerate them. Moisture in the fridge dulls the aroma and the beans pick up other smells.

  • Whole beans: Grind what you will brew that day. A 250 g bag is the easier size if you drink slowly.
  • Ground coffee: Press the air out, seal the bag, and use it within 1 to 2 weeks of opening.
  • Capsules: Leave them in the box. Each one is already sealed, so a cupboard shelf is enough.
  • Instant: Close the lid tightly after each spoon so the powder stays dry.
