Overview

This is MHW-3Bomber's take on the eight-sided moka pot that has barely needed to change since the 1930s. The aluminum body weighs about 470g, the bionic wooden handle is heat-insulated so pouring never gets dramatic, and the lid carries visible vent slots that help shed heat.

How to use

Fill the base with hot water up to the safety valve, spoon medium-fine grounds into the funnel without tamping, screw the top on and set it over medium-low heat. When it gurgles, it's done; take it off before it sputters bitter.

Why we love it
