This is the traditional moka brewer in a compact 2-shot format. Hot water rises from the base chamber through the grounds and lands in the top as concentrated, espresso-style coffee. The cast aluminum body sits happily on gas or electric stoves and shrugs off daily use.
Fill the base with hot water up to the valve, spoon ground coffee loosely into the funnel without tamping, screw the top on and set it over medium heat. When the gurgle starts, take it off and pour.
No apps, no battery, nothing to update. The moka pot has been making strong coffee since the 1930s and this one keeps the formula: aluminum, pressure, patience, and that gurgle that means breakfast is close.
